Are these reports useful to anyone? No one has commented, no one has mentioned them on IRC or email, ... If they're not useful and no one is reading them, then I should be spending my time elsewhere.

Definitely useful. Currently the only way I'm able to somewhat follow developments.

hello, Great news that 2.5.4RC is out.

please continue with this. i am eagerly checking planet.getmiro.com every day for updates, your report is practically the only thing which is getting the people know what is going on in the team and with the development itself. For open source project communication is vital. I am really surprised that this is practically the only source of information for regular users. Or is there something where can I track the development better (bugzilla probably)? Where is the changelogs for 2.5.4 instance...? This must be more open, or nobody will post comments, not speaking about other contribution...

I think the forums at getsatisfaction.com are not really great (as you can see by the amount of posts)

Please keep up the great job! You dont even know how many people undoubtfully appreciate it and in the future I am convinced there will be so much more of them. Miro and free(as in speech) tv-on-demand is the future... :)

Thank you

I'll keep writing them up, then.

FSF member of the Czech Republic: I'm not sure why you think there's nothing out there and that the project isn't open.  We have Get Satisfaction forums:

http://getsatisfaction.com/participatoryculturefoundation/

We have Bugzilla timelines and roadmaps:

http://bugzilla.pculture.org/roadmap.cgi
http://bugzilla.pculture.org/timeline.cgi

We have a web frontend for the repository where all changes get made:

http://git.participatoryculture.org/miro

For every release, we have release notes:

https://develop.participatoryculture.org/trac/democracy/wiki/ReleaseNotes
https://develop.participatoryculture.org/trac/democracy/wiki/2.5ReleaseNotes

We have #miro and #miro-hackers on freenode.net for IRC.

We have a develop mailing list:

http://participatoryculture.org/mailman/listinfo/develop

We have a planet:

http://planet.getmiro.com/

And we have an identi.ca group:

http://identi.ca/group/miro

Seems like we're telling the world as much as we possibly can.

Please keep comments appropriate. I reserve the right to remove anonymous comments, flames, spammy, inappropriate, and other comments that I deem to be worth removing.

Note: New comments get placed in a "draft" status and will NOT show up on the site until I explicitly approve it. Usually that happens within 24 hours, but sometimes I go away and it takes a day or two.

Note 2: There is now a preview button for those of you who want to see a preview! However, it doesn't quite work the way you'd think it should work. I'll look into adjusting it some day.

Note 3: If you can't for some reason post a comment, send me an email: willg at bluesock dot org.
